Wow. The elk "appeared to be limping badly and had broken antlers"......"and his judgement needed to be euthanized immediately".

Apparently a few of the LEOs in that locale have taken advantage of Colorado's new law allowing the use of the Wacky Weed.

Sounds to me like the bull probably just lost a rut battle.

I think they just wanted some easy elk meat, and the "needed euthanized" part of it was just a cover. And even if it was not, they also broke protocol by not filing a report. They discharged a weapon in a residential neighborhood and never filed a report.

Hope there are some big suspensions or firings on this one.
