Do you guys shut your propane fridge off each time you leave the cabin or do you leave it running and just turn up the temp each time you leave? Still trying to get mine working, but talked to a guy and he says he has less problems by leaving it running. Seems like you would waste a lot of propane when you aren't at the cabin.

We turn ours off each time we leave. Ours is a relatively new one, perhaps 10 years old and it works very well. I don't think they use all that much propane, but I'd still be very reluctant to leave one running if I were away from the cabin.

I leave mine on. I used to turn it off over winter but a couple times I had problems getting it going in the spring. Don't know if the refrigerant locked up or what.
