I just took this pic a few minutes ago.....I believe the mom was killed about 5 days, or so, ago by a car......she was huge and her teats were really swollen.....the fawn seems to be fairing well....eating well today
I have one that I believe is a midget fawn. She must have been born really really late. I thought it was a bobcat coming through the corn. Passed on Mom several times, she seems to be the only deer coming into the stand lately.
Since someone brought it up is there such a thing as midget deer? A few years ago during rifle season I saw a deer that was the size of a yote. Of course when I brought it up a camp that night it made for a lot of conversation (most of how nuts I was)but no could say for sure if there are deer like that documented.
