Hey guys, on Friday I shot my biggest archery buck yet, and first with the crossbow. 21" 8 point in 2E. I don't have a scale up at camp, but knew he was easily the heaviest deer I've ever shot as well, according to the chest tape he dressed out at about 212 lbs! (44.5" heart girth method)
He was following a doe and came into 18 yards, i grunted and stopped him and drilled him! He went about 70 yards and piled up. I was using the kids Parker crossbow, lol, with spitfire heads.
Also went back to my stand Saturday morning to find the arrow and shot a hen turkey at 40 yards with the .22 hornet, pretty good weekend at camp!
Now time to bring on the bears!
