I have some Victors # 2 round jaw that are base plated and there is a lap link that connects to the first links of chain ...my question is are they solid enough to hold Coyotes or can a yote stretch ( spread ) that lap link open ???
What are some other options i am able to use i really dont care for the lap links !!!

S hooks, swivels.Don't know if the yotes could open them or not as I don't use them.Or you could put a J hook back thru the hole where it originally was.I'm assuming that these are center located chains when I say s hook or swivel.I personally don't like my chains center located for bedding purposes. If you short chain a yote, he can't test your gear and the lap link should be fine.My yote traps have 6-8" of chain max with a in-line swivel
