I had Woody Max Muck Boots before my Lacrosse Alpha Burly 1500's. I really liked the Woody Max's BUT the neoprene gets ripped to shreds from going thru the nasty stuff.
So far I love my Lacrosse's(These are my first pair).
Just my 2 cents

Dave
the LaCross are fine boots that will take the briars etc. ...just cant gettem off! Yesterday i got the mrs involved in helping & she said...never again...better get some different boots! When one boot popped off she actually fell backwards on her arse!! LOL

Size 10. Mebbie i shouda got a size larger but most boots in 10 fit fine.
Loggy make sure that your feet are not swelling. Sometimes if I am on my feet to long in my burlys they are hard to get off. Try a little bit of powder in your socks, might help.
what type of insulation do the Muck Woody Max's have?

I was at the store where I buy all of my boots from because I wanted to get a new pair of Lacrosse Alphaburly (non-insulted) because mine leaked the first day of rifle. Ive had my boots for about 4/5 years and used them for both turkey, archery, and sometimes rifle so they got their use. The owner said he won't sell them anymore because he has been getting to many complaints about the new neoprene material that is coated with rubber or something like that is not to durable. Does anyone have a pair of the most recent model the Alphaburly's(non-insulted)? If so do you like them and are they pretty durable?

Either the boots are shrinking or the wearer is increasing in size.

I have the Lacrosse lights uninsulated and love them. But i just had a big post on archerytalk asking which boots people prefer....Mucks or Lacrosse. I also did a poll and Mucks were winning by a few votes. I did just order a pair of Max cold Mucks but will use my Lacrosse's in early archery season.
I've had the Lacrosse's for a few years now and they are VERY comfortable and yes durable. No leaking or tears as of yet.
I love mine as well...comfortable, warm, but just was worrying about the new boots with what the store owner said about them. Ive looked and they still seem to get great reviews on their boots. Don't know if they are made as well now as they were 4 or 5 years ago
take a lil scrap plywood, and make yourself a boot jack.
Thanks guys!! Will have to ck out those boot pullers!
