i was looking around at lowes the other day and the weed/grass killers they had there seemed crappy. what is the best place to get stuff that will kill everything where stuff is growing...weeds, vines, long grass....i'm trying to kill a hillside of stuff pronto and throw in some clover. i did see a giant thing of roundup for like 150 bucks with no sprayer. there has to be something close to as good and cheaper. i don't have that kind of cheese. what do you folks recommend and again, where to go in the allegheny county area? thanks

Look for a farm supply store in your area.

I bout 2.5 gallons of 41% gluphosate/Roundup for $59 this spring.

Also, if you think this is all as easy as just spraying and throwing some seed down, you are in for an awakening.

Rushing things is a recipe for disaster. If you are trying to kill a bunch of "stuff" and then expecting to throw a perennial in there, you will be battling lots and lots of weeds next year in your plot.

There are many latent seeds in your soil. Just because you kill the top growth doesn't mean the seeds won't sprout next year.

Go with an annual crop the first crop. That gives you time to clean up the plot.

There is a shipping calculator on the site. I got a quote to have two 2.5 gallon containers shipped and it was about 15 bucks per jug. Plus, you probably save the sales tax as well.
