my FIL just "upgraded" to an arrow rifle because of health reasons and he just replaced my (yeah...still using it) Bear Whitetail II...

I am now holding a MUCH lighter, faster shooting Jennings Barracuda. If the FIL had been marking notches on the bow, it's over 50-60 deer and more than a handful of turkeys. Bow came with 2 full head mounts that "belong to the bow" as well. This bow has seen more deer near the New Bethlehem area over the years that FIL cares to admit. a dozen or so bucks 8pt or better, with the biggest one pushing a solid 14 non typ and a 12 typical.

I'm elated to say the least, and can't wait to go give it a run. my draw length needs adjusted down about a half inch or so and the carbon arrows i have been using with the bear are the perfect size already.

Sorry, just had to share. If this bow could talk...

going out tomorrow actually but taking Thor instead of the bow for 2 reasons. It's COLD. i want to spot and stalk to keep the bedded deer in the morning moving. second, I have yet to fire the bow, i need to get it adjusted a little and put a few arrows thru it first. I really want to change the rest from a 2 prong semi flipper thing he has on there to a whisker bisquit as well though I'll likely stick to what is on there for the first season just to see how it works out. The only things he's done to this bow since he got it is had it completely re-strung and he's had the top cam(idle pulley, single cam bow) axle replaced with one that had retainer clips..the original one had bushings that wear out and the axle could come lose/fall out (eek)

He's probably fired it a few hundred times a season and my cursory first check shows nothing amiss.
