Does a 12 year old need the archery license?

Yes, and a muzzleloader license and a migratory bird hunting license if they are going to participate in those activities. A junior hunter doesn't need a federal duck stamp till age 16.

I went to buy our archery stamps last night at Walmart.The young man asked why not just get him a combo license.I said I did.He said then you don't need it.You still need migratory though.Showed me a cell phone pic of his archery buck last year.I must say he did quite well.He was also quite helpfull selecting some camo for my son.Some people at Walmart do take their job seriously.Just like any where else.
