As many read my previous post on Tough decision about my older beagle Remi that we had to put down 2 weeks before Mother’s Day. Well Mother’s Day weekend we packed up Friday morning to head to camp to get water on and mow. Friday was good and all was well. My daughter and her fiancé decided to come up. Friday night went south. My young beagle Jax was pretty restless through the night which is unusual for him. Saturday morning I took him out and he did his thing. One hour later he couldn’t get his rear legs moving. Packed up and hauled *** home to vet. Ended up taking him to specialist in Annapolis were he had an MRI done and found out he had a herniated disc. Sunday they did the surgery and got him back the following Saturday. He’s doing pretty good but a lot of restless nights. This is my boy Jax aka ( Tater middle name Tot )

Sorry to hear that. I had my beagle to the vet a month or so ago and she said that is a common problem with beagles. Hope yours has a complete recovery.

A little follow up on Jax’s progress. After many sleepless nights Jax had a follow up last Wednesday. The Doc was impressed since his surgery was 30 days prior. He is no longer quarantined to his pen and he no longer needs his rear support to walk. He’s doing really good. Here is a pic of him heading home from camp Sunday. Of course he wanted to give the bunnies heck all weekend but not guide yet,
