More shooting and tweaking to do for some better results, maybe. 40 yards, #9 TSS.

It's a great gun for sure. Feels like you're carrying a toy, shoots great and does the job of any 12ga just as good if not better. That being said, would it be okay if I borrowed your flintlock when you take the .410 out?

Which one? The 20 or 28 gauge?
Either/or... beggars can't be choosers.
I'll PM you. I have too many people looking for me most of which I've borrowed their guns.

I'm surprised the difference between 40 and 50.
Looks like she might be about as good as she'll get. Majority of pellets at 40 are to the left and majority at 50 to the right. Might be a pulled shot might not. Either way both birds are dead.

Did you try the 9's at 50?

Gun broker?
That was my way of saying I'm being cheap.

Did you buy from the only seller of them in Tennessee?
That also surprised me. Mine with factory choke using 9's was a lot tighter than your first post using same.
Did you shoot the #9 with the Carlsons? at 40 and 50?
BB, I can try something if you like. I found another box Federal #9 and still have a couple more boxes.
I was just curious, but if you get the urge to do it, it sure would save me some $$$ in shells 😜
I guess it can wait till tomorrow, but if you could take the day off I'd appreciate it :applause:

Good stuff BP! It definitely looks like the factory choke with #9's is very doable (with your setup) at 40 and 50 with a sight adjustment.

Also looks like the factory choke with 9's held a tighter pattern at 50 then the Carlsons (surprised about that one). I still I have a .385 coming in the mail 😎

This thread should save some people a lot of time and $$$.

Thanks for the great info!

Your gun with a .385 may be totally different, who knows?
Exactly.
