I need to pick some ones brain on this gun.
As the post states, its a ithaca model 37 in 16 gauge.
Its my buddys gun and he want to figure out how to take the barrel off, and , what kind of clips (E- clip, C clip?)were used to hold the pin that goes through the barrle nut. i found this pic on the web, it shows the pin I am reffering to.

I would be grateful for any help.
Thanks, Roland

The small cylindrical pin (on older Model 37s) will slide out about 1/2" to help in rotating the knurled nut. Once the nut is rotated/loosened a couple of turns, you will then be able to rotate the barrel 90 degrees and it will slide loose from the receiver.
