Party hunting is legal in Iowa. What does that mean?
Hunters in both shotgun seasons and the November
and January Antlerless-only seasons may
shoot deer for each other, provided that all tagging
requirements are followed, and the deer will be
considered in the possession of the hunter whose
tag is affixed to it.
In other words...if you are hunting in a group of five and you have a doe tag only and the other four persons have a buck and doe tag...you can shoot your doe, thier 4 bucks and thier 4 doe. In other words, one person can shoot all the deer for the group.
I hunt the shotgun season with a doe tag and my two female hunting partners have the buck tags. This is a buck our group took this year.
