Hoagy's Heroes is celebrating their 10th Anniversary with a special Ride To Eat on June 21, 2014

There are several routes and distances, with several different starting points around the United States. Routes of 1000 miles and 1500 miles will be Iron Butt Association approved. All routes end in Glen Dale, WV, at the home of Robert "Hoagy" Carmichael, founder of Hoagy's Heroes, for a hearty meal and celebration. Dinner is included with your registration fee, and it is a BYOB event (several beer/liquor stores are nearby if you wish to imbibe). Nearby lodging is available, as well as designated drivers to get you there safely.

This is a charity event, so we ask that all riders have at least one donation to ride. Registration information, route starting points and maps, hotel accommodations and more information can be found on the Hoagy's Heroes website, or by calling Hoagy directly at 304-639-1863.

For those that are interested in long distance riding, but are a little apprehensive about trying it, there will be a Dawn-to-Dusk 500 mile ride on August 16, which is a great introductory ride.

Hoagy's Heroes is a group of bikers who participate in long-distance "Iron Butt" rides to raise money for groups like A Special Wish Foundation, The Children of Fallen Soldiers Relief Fund, and the Family Behavioral Resources Foundation.

Also, please feel free to share on Facebook or otherwise pass this info on to anyone you know that might be interested. We do several rides a year, so there's plenty of opportunities to participate!

Just a reminder that if you're interested in participating, please contact Hoagy or register by Thursday so they can get an accurate head count for the meal.
