Effective immediately, NO links or phone numbers of guides and guide services are permitted, regardless of who is making a post. Per the new ownership, these would now constitute advertising, which is not permitted unless a fee is paid.

In the interest of clarity (for me anyhow) - links to what? YouTube, gun parts resource, firearms manufacturers, gun show venues, gun clubs or organizations like, for example, NMLRA / NRA ?

I want to make sure I understand this restriction and that I do not cause any problems.

Thanks

what about if your trying to find feed back on an outfitter
how would you ask that question without naming them and MAYBE showing who they are as in a link

OR better yet, what about if you got screwed by one and wanted them to be known for there shabby outfit??

I mean I fully understand you don't want to be providing free advertising for any outfitter
but I can honestly see honest reasons to post a link or name
Phone number I can do without, but? is it still ok to name them and ask for info on one if one wanted to?

I don't use outfitters either, but I know many others do
so just asking here this info, for maybe others that would benefit from being able to?

If any of you have issues with the site, post your concerns in the "site suggestion" forum.

This new rule applies to the outfitters and guides forum. ( I edited my original post to reflect that ) You can post the name of the service, but not a link to their business, or their telephone number. You can post any good or bad services, and your personal experience with a service, just no links to their business.

Scroll down to the very bottom of the page and click on the red "term of use" to better understand the new ownership

Thanks. I just submitted an amended post of my own on the site you suggested. I want to make sure I understand as best as I can.

Thanks I took a look. But all there is to understand is there is new ownership. I don't know what happened with the old ownership and I guess that frankly is none of my business. A bit luke warm about where the new ownership is based out of but I am glad this place is still here.
