Do you need a General Hunting license AND a furtakers license to hunt furbearers?

I never had to think about it, because I hunt all types of game, but was just wondering if I only wanted to hunt fox, coon, etc. if I need a general hunting license.

You can hunt furbearers without a general hunting license. You MUST have a furtakers license to hunt for or trap furbearing species whether you have a hunting license or not.

For most of the seasons you can hunt coyotes with either a furtaker’s license OR a hunting license. The exception would be after using your deer tags during the firearms deer season. You can’t hunt coyote during daylight hours after using all of your legal deer tags unless you have a furtaker’s license.
