Marlin Guide Gun in .45/70. I bought it for bear but ended up carrying for deer as well. I just like the feel of it and how compact it is. That and the .45/70 is just a neat, old cartridge.
Second would be my Marlin mod 25 in .22 mag. I picked it up new for $100 because it was missing the rear sight ramp. I got it out of some little basement gun store near Latrobe about 20 years ago. I put a scope on it and it may very well be one of the best shooting rifles I've ever owned. I'm simply amazed at how accurate it is and it will shoot just about any ammo very well.
i love all 20 of mine. if i was to pick one rifle..i would say my 300wm. i have used since 1994 and never missed a deer with it.
one pistol...would be..my T/C contender 35rem. i just plain love it. lol
