Hi all, the annual HuntPA sporting clays shoot is scheduled for Saturday, August 19 at Rock Mountain Sporting Clays.. This is a purely fun shoot, 100 birds on 17 stations and the winner takes home a custom blue stone trophy. Come on out, bring some buddies and break some clays!! Cost is $35 per shooter and the event starts between 9:00-10:00. Can someone dethrone Mauser this year?????? Will GSP return to the top of the heap??? We shall see.

Our QDMA Branch and NWTF Chapter are holding a fundraiser here that day for a scholarship fund in memory of our good friend Rusty Ely who passed away this spring in an accident. We will have Bad Dog BBQ catering food and will be selling lunches from the pavilion for $10/each. Your choice of pulled pork bbq, beef brisket, various sauces, cole slaw and baked beans. We also have a fun rifle event with a trophy for the lever gun shooter who hits all or the most of the 10 of the steel targets in the fastest time. Any gun can be used, but only a lever can win as Rusty was a fan of lever actions. $10 to enter and you can enter as many times as you like.

Perfect day today for the annual HuntPA NEPA Clays Shoot. Congrats to Shaun Zaleski for his HOA of 93/100!! Well struck Shaun!! I'll have pics posted as soon as Shaun comes in to pick up his trophy. Thanks to all who came out for the shoot today and a special thanks to those who bought BBQ lunch to help the Rusty Ely Memorial Scholarship Fund. Rock Mountain, QDMA, NWTF and the Ely family all thank you.

No we had the bad dog BBQ lunch. Plus everyone in the back seat was passed out before we even got out of the driveway.lol. Gives us a reason to make the trip again and we will. Nice place to shoot. We can't can't wait to return in the fall when the leaves come down and shoot the stations over looking the deep hollow.

Finally got a chance to log on to say thanks to everyone at Rock Mountain for hosting this event. Great time was had by all in the group. Also nice to meet lutzy boy, copperhead, & blacksnake. Glad you were able to make it up. Mike, I'll be bringing Connor up for more practice. Just found out he was one of the 48 youths selected for the wild pheasant hunt in November. Can't wait to see what he'll do with a real bird in the air :grin2:!
