Does any one have any links for public land open to hunting in NY
And NYs hunting info like seasons

There are no deer in NYS...
Allegeny State park is a popular public spot.

Rifle season opener is always 3rd Saturday in November, so in 2013 you can hit their opener (rut time too) and still bear hunt PA the next weekend and still have a weekend before PA opener.

dang rooster ya beat me to it.... both in the dec site and the response...

aaahhhyuuuuppppp there's no deer here, well there was one left but i got him a couple weeks ago

There likely is but it got kind of popular lately and i got a few PMs on it...PM archer40 he runs the membership and can tell ya the openings that are still there for 2013. Guys still saw deer and missed bucks there with their inlines in that late season..sounds like we picked up another 158 acres too for next year acorss the road.

No complaints on that place at all. Good people, good hunting, and a serious lease leader.

What county is your NYS lease in RB? I have two people who mite be interested.

A lot of the adirondacks is public. Hunted up around bear mountain which is public up Rte 17E. Is about 45 or so minutes out of Binghampton. Saw some sign but no deer. It is a rifle area when I was there.

Cattaraugus....the property actually borders Chautauqua county near Frewsburg, NY.

Hunted there a few years ago. Passed up a spike, ended getting shot just below me. Saw a small rack buck but no shot. I only live about 10 minutes from there.

i belonged to a ny lease a few yrs ago a few miles north of elderton. it was decent hunting until a brown is down bunch cleaned out a lot of does. the guy runnuing it wanted to limit doe hunting for a yr or 2 and guys wouldnt rejoin so he couldnt keep it going on the 1400 acres. just curious how far is it from the pa. line and the cost and size? thankyou

Future Hunting Dates for NY

Regular(rifle) deer comes in the third Saturday of November in the Southern Zone....11/16/13.

PA bear next season starts 11/23/13. I can actually hunt the NY opener!
