So I have been seeing a pair of gray fox frequently in this area so I put in a trench set and a flat set. Right off the bat I caught a opossum in the trench set. A couple days later I caught a small gray fox ( not one of the ones I've been seeing) in the flat set. Well the area is quite tore up now and nothing is touching the remakes. How would you set from here for the other fox??

Trench set on left flat set on right.

Sometimes when they give me trouble going into a catch circle that is too well defined as a hard circle I will put in a new set right at the edge. Some people just put the trap at the edge as a blind set while the fox circles the whole thing. Make sure you use some debris or something for backing on your new set on the edge because on the off chance if the fox enters the circle particularly grays then they will work the new set from behind.

Leave the remakes as they are and put in a couple new sets. Also as Andrew says it doesn't hurt to slap a trap in along the outside of the catch circle.
