I have a RMC 1/28 twist flinter that I have been shooting .452 300 grain xtp pistol bullets out of. They work great on deer but I was looking at the .430 300 grain bullet and it has a .245 bc vs. the .180 of the .452.

Running the numbers on the Hornady ballistic calculator shows a good bit of energy advantage and a good bit less wind drift with the .430 diameter bullet.

Has anyone used these in their RMC and did they shoot as accurate as the .452 300 grainer? I have always read/heard that the .44 bullets were less accurate because the thicker sabot didn't open up to release the bullet as cleanly as the thinner .452 sabot. Every little bit of bc. helps when pushed by black powder.

Anyone use them?
