Hornady leverlution Ammo... Sure do like it better then the Corelokts for accuracy in my Marlin 336 35 Rem.

Heard tell that they don't shoot well in some of the 30/30 because the older 30/30 have the wrong rate of twist. they sure do shoot well in the old Marlin 336 35 Rem!!!

Do you like the leverlution ammo? What caliber ammo Leverlution do you like or dislike?

Not the case with my Brothers Rifle, He bought a box for his Marlin 336 3030. He liked them so much He started re loading them himself. But then no two rifles are the same.

I've had great success in my mid-70s Marlin 336A with the 30-30 ammo. As accurate as that guns other favorite, the old Remington 170 gr.Corlokt - shoots 1 to 1.5 inch groups at 100 yards. And performance on game is every bit as good as the old corelokts. I've swithed to it exclusivly.

The .35 Remington ammo shoots well in my peep sighted 7600, but haven't scored with that gun yet so no on game performance report.

Actually, a 45/70 is very much a bean feild rifle. In a long barreled single shot rifle, you can kill deer easily at a few hundred yards. I`m not that good but the round, gun and ammo is

I don,t really see a need for it.The price was way out of line but now you can get it on sale at times.I,ve been huntin with these rifles for almost 40 years and can honestly say I can,t see where they would have made a difference on the old standard ammo.

I will add that I have no intention of replacing my handloaded 405 grain 45-70 rounds with the lighter lever evelotion rounds. But for the 30-30, it's great.

i have a modern 30/30 (marlin 336sdt) that i have been wanting to try it in so i used my Dicks coupon to buy a box the other day. the 170 corelokts group good in that gun but i am going to give the LE a try. i sometimes see really good prices on it so i just want to see if it groups good. i also want to try the 35 LE ammo in my modern marlin and remington 35's but Dick's didn't have any. the 35 LE ammo is a lot of times cheaper than the corelokts on sale. problem is finding it in the store. the 35 seems tough to find anymore. its a shame cause i love my 35's.

When I first shot my Marlin 336 in the Rem Corelokt also grouped well and I had them hitting in the bullseye at 100 yards... I then shot the Leverlution and they grouped about 3 inches high above the bullseye.. Probably I could shoot the Corelokt in at dead center at 100 yards and use the leverlution ammo for shooting three inches high at 100 yards. Of course I droped the leverlution down to hit dead center in the bullseye..

I did kill a big doe with the 35 Rem leverlution ammo.. It ran about 30 yards after a lung shot.. That was good enough for me.. I will be using the Leverlution ammo in my Marlin 336. I do reload and I might do some reloading but the factory 35 Rem leverlution ammo worked great!!

I also purchased one of the Cabelas Leverlution 35 Rem scopes... It's a 3 X 9 power and that what I was using when I was getting the outstanding groups.. IMO I would recommend the Cabelas 35 Rem Leverlution BDC scope if you don't want to spend a lot of money for a scope!!!
I said to myself after harvesting the doe.. "Wow I should have been using the 35 Rem Model 336 years ago!" Figure used I got it for $208.00... I love that little Marlin 336!!!

Hope to try some reloads this spring. Looking forward to giving the old rifle some additional zip. Like buying a whole new rifle, at a reloaders price.

Where are you hitting'em? My son put a 30-30 lever evolution through the heart last year and that buck just sprayed blood out both sides for 20 yards and collapsed.

Very happy with the accuracy in my 35 Rem bolt action I built. They do seem a little soft. Almost like a ballistic tip. Thats not a bad thing though, IMO. No pass thru on the heart shot buck I got this year. One and only experience on game, so take it for what its worth.

Since my last post this family has killed 5 deer with the leverlution ammo and the 35 Rem Model 336...We like the 35 Rem and we like that Leverlution ammo bigtime...Some deer died right there and some at most ran 30 yards if that...
