Stranger things have happened. Knew a women that had a broken leg when she was hit by a clapper.
(The workers had just completed work on the belfry. The congregation was standing on the church steps and the bells were ringing and a clapper, that had not been bolted fast, fell from from one of the bells and bounced off the church steps knocking the woman down. )
