Thanks guys! So we have confirmed a puffball? I don't want to make my family sick or WORSE!!! I cut it in half last night after some research and it is solid white all the way through. That confirms puffball, correct?
Should I expect to see more in the area? Thanks for helping a newbie!
As long as it's solid white it's good to eat. With puffballs it tough to say, others may pop up here and there. Usually the'll come up next year in the same area. I had one yesterday, cut it up and sauteed it in butter, good eating.
