The bill was amended to allow use costs to be paid by the GC.

Also, instead of mandating use of the schools, this now provided that the use be arranged... effectively making any further effort on this bill useless. Making this law only rubber stamps what we already have.

The original intent of the bill was to allow the use of the schools as a central point to provide HTE training. Essentially, the bill would have removed opposition or barriers to the training by those anti gun or anti hunting.


With the current amendment, it is a zero sum game. Nothing changes. Those wishing to prevent the training or those that view it as inappropriate - won.
