With a Nikon D7200. I not sure what hawk this is.

Looks like a Red-tailed to me.

loridr --- that was my thought until he flew away, no red tail feathers. My closest ID from a bird book is a Harlan's Hawk. But, maybe not.

I can't see the breast, a clear breast is a dead giveaway but it looks like an immature red tail to me.

I was also thinking juvenile red tail, though I’m no expert.
