I have a Polaris 570 , and want to haul it under a cap on hunting trips with other gear that I don't want to get wet , I don't care if the 4 wheller gets wet but I don,t want to haul a trailer either. The atv is 50" tall at the handle bars are there any caps tall enough to drive the atv on without adjusting the handle bars or letting air out of the tires ? I did see the ARE RT series but saw where it was discontinued , how about the truck toppers where the cap can be raised up and down are they any good ? My truck is a 2016 ford f150 6.5' bed. Any ideas would be appreciated.

I highly doub your going to find a cap the atv will fit under, as you have to think about the handle bars, as both you drive up the ramp and into the truck, and most atv,'s the rear rack when in bed of short bed truck will be hitting the rear window on the cap
I have a leer cap on my 2016 ram 2500 a MID rise cap and its not even in the ball park of clearing an atv, a HIGH rise , won't make that much of a difference IMO
NOW if you run taller tires, that will add even more fitment issues into it fitting into bed and allowing tailgate to even close with it in there!, plus WATCH the front of atv so as NOT to poop your window out the back on bumps and such!
if you have a HD truck they DO sell ATV hitch haulers, I never used one, but have seen some that do, some trucks will support up to 1,000 lbs on the hitch like set up
a LOT of tongue weight for sure, but can maybe save you from hauling a trailer, if you do this, watch your approach and departure angles when driving!

a trailer just makes hings simpler here , to be honest!
as even if you get atv in bed with a cap on, there isn;t much room for anything in bed after that any how, will become a nite mare getting things out that slide under it or between sides of bed and tires

and a trailer will see a lot more use, call it an investment?

also keep in mind even IF you find as cap high enough, how do you plan to ride it up into the bed, you will never fit on it to do so under a cap?

Yeah , I'm not sure what to do , I used to have a winch attached to the front of the cap of my old truck and winched it on backwards and left the front end of the atv and handle bars stick out with the tailgate down and the front tires on it , that worked ok but it was kind of a pain winching it in and out. don't want to use a trailer but may have to. Thanks for your responses.

I hear you, I for a long time didn;'t like trailing things, but after so many yrs now pulling a trailer , I don't even think about it
if you have a good sized 3/4 ton truck , one of them atv hitch haulers might be a option to look at, not too pricey either, but, not sure I'd want to be going on bumpy back roads with one> or at least without some added rear suspension support?

another option maybe you never thought of is a truck bed decking, where you actually drive atv up on top of a flat bed like attachment to your bed, and then you can still store things under that
