I used some of the advice I found on here to make my first food plot. I cleared and planted the area by hand with garden tools. I wrote about it in detail on my blog and thought I would share it here for anyone interested!

The clover will come back for the next 3-5 years. It will rebound after browsing . You may want to keep the grass and weeds down with appropriate herbicide next year. depending on browsing you may want to cut clover as it gets taller. Deer like fresh sprouts.Weed wacker will do that if a mower cant access plot.

We did some small food plots with turnips and the deer are going crazy on them.
