I use the Garmin Rino series. I have 2...a 530Hcx and a 120. I'd be willing to part with the 120 now that it does not get used. If you are interested, let me know and we can work something out.

I recommend the garmin vista hcx. It is a good model that is in the affordable range. Compare the models at garmins site, the battery life of the hcx's are better than some of the others, and that alone can justify the higher up model.

I have a garmin for sale that is an older model, but it works nice. I will even load the topos for the areas you need if you want to buy it.
