H & R Trigger guard

Anybody know how to remove it? It's plastic with no screws holding it on. When I removed the forearm and bbl still couldnt see much. Im wondering if you just squeeze it together a little and pop it out. I dont know how flexable it is and dont want to break it.

Yup, they are pinned in. Those 2 pins hold the trigger assembly together so if you push them out make sure you are familiar with the trigger and can put it back together. Most people make a short slave pin that will hold the trigger together but is short enough to slide out the bottom of the action.
The trigger guard looks to be seperate from the trigger assembly. I cant see any pins in the guard itself. This is an old 12 ga topper that I want to redo.I could be wrong.
