YORK, Pa.—Authorities say a Maryland man killed himself after buying a shotgun and ammunition at a central Pennsylvania gun show.
The York County coroner's office says the unidentified man purchased the gun Saturday morning during a show at the York Expo Center, then took it outside and killed himself in the parking lot.
Authorities say at least one person heard the gunshot and called 911. Investigators say a box for the gun and shells were found in the back of the man's pickup. Deputy Coroner Steve Cosey says the man's truck appeared to contain a lot of personal items.
Officials did not identify the man, but say he's 57 years old and from Middle River, Md.
