puppyhunter61's post about the memorial marker for a hunter made me think of the the "Gum Boot" marker along the Tram road ,off rte. 504, in the Moshannon SF near Black Mochannon state park.
It is a head stone shaped & sized monument, white, and it used to have a rubber boot on top. The boot is gone and so is a plaque inscribed ( I'm paraphrasing cause I saw this 25 years ago)"The guys at the camp know what happened here).
Anybody know the story?
