Does anyone have and use one of these calls. If so what would you reccomend? Thought about getting one of primos calls, a little on the big side though. Personally I like the tube calls, they sound more natural than them little calls such as the lil' shawty by primos. Yeah it's great that its short and can hold it in your mouth while holding your bow but I just use my mouth to get them to stop and that hasn't failed me yet knock knock.

Looking for one that has that authentic sound and not crap sounding like the lil' shawty or such lol.

The big Primos. The snort wheeze is a fantastic call. I've had excellent success with it when they won't come into a grunt only.

Very interesting, but I would think they would come in at full alert and perhaps only the more mature bucks.

I have only heard two deer make the snort wheeze call in a few decades of hunting deer and I was lucky enough to take both 8 points.

Still works?? I thought I might have killed the gene.

I've never heard one make a snort wheeze call, but I had 2 bucks in the last couple years come directly to me,when I used it, after they ignored grunts and bleats. It may not work every time, but I'm 2 for 2 with it.

Same thing has happened to me man. Everytime i try it the buck heads for the hills. Ive tried it three times over the last 2 years when the buck wouldnt respond to the grunt call and for some reason it scares the crap out of them. Tried it with a ten point this year that ignored my grunts. He was following a couple does about 70 yards below me and heading the other direction. I snort wheezed and he took off at mach speed. I guess it works sometimes. I think you gotta find that buck thats just cruising around looking to pick a fight to get it to work. Its a very aggressive sound. Even the so called pro's on tv dont use it that much. Seems most of them rely on just your basic grunt and doe bleat, and so do i.

I have the Primos Buck Roar w/snort wheeze. I can't say anything about the snort wheeze, but the Grunt part i really like. I called in a couple nice 2.5 year old buck in this year with it. It has a strap that you can put it on your arm to keep it out of the way also.

Snort wheeze will scare a lot of bucks, especially in PA. I would never get a call for the snort wheeze. It is a waste of money. I can make a snort wheeze sound with my mouth. The only time I didn't have it spook buck was when I had two buck fighting intensely under my tree.
