shot 16 times today with the new .62 with .600 prb and 90 gr. of 3f, .o18 pt patch with homemade olive oil and bees wax lube. every shot loaded easily(no swabbing) and the groups hung in there great. shot alot of steel and paper. sighted in at 3" high at 35 yards. 50 yard steel on the money and the 100 yard steel about 4" low. can't wait until next Saturday!

Nice. I've been curious about olive oil for patch lube myself. You say it worked good for you? I heard of using straight olive oil, but I also have a large block of beeswax. What was your ratio?

I recently picked up some unlubed patches to use for that. Almost hate to change things up now so close to the season, maybe for the late season. But, I'm going to the range tomorrow, so maybe i'll make some straight olive oil patches now and shoot a few

5 parts virgin olive oil and 1 part bees wax. that is by weight, not volume. been using it now for about 4 years, and it works good in all my guns.
