I've owned and used a Garmin 60SCX for several years.

Best thing you can do is go somewhere that has many GPS units and get some hands on. Several years ago I was at the Harrisburg sportsman show. This is where I first seen this unit. Played around with it and liked it right away. Another thing is you will need either the Topo 2009 or the MapSource program. This works with the 60 CSx, allowing you save and transfer info back and forth.
