Got some flints in the mail from Bunky!!!


Some french amber on the left, and some black english on the right... as well as a black english in the clamp on the lock!

Seems like good stuff. Thanks again Bunky.

I was looking through my flint stash, and found 2 more black english flints as well.

I think I'm going to save the french ambers for show, these 2 stones atleast. They are too nice to pound away with.

Gotta find me some more before I go hammering them away. Looks as if they are hard to come by these days.

Anyways, thought I'd share!

Thats funny mauser,thats the first thing I thought when I clicked on pic! Looking good Nuge.Don't see to many lefty smokepoles! Good luck with the new rocks.

You're the man Bunky... I really appreciate that. I'll send a few back your way when I get aholda some.

That Black English is making some serious spark. My Lyman loves it... didn't even try the French yet, and won't. Until I find more.

I got the blacks at Cains Outdoors in WVA----Bought them in bulk a few years back. They have been the best spark throwers I have ever used.
