I can't pull the string back. I must be weak, I did buy the EZ Cocking string just waiting for it to get here. If that doesn't work i'll get the crank one..

Cocking the newer bows by hand gets old real quick, if it can be done at all. Plus, hand cocking can affect accuracy.

Rope cockers are the way to go, no doubt. Cranks are nice just slow.

I only met one guy that could cock mine bare handed. He barely did it and is much larger than me.Even he almost wasn't able to.That and his fingers hurt after he did it.He could't do it 2 times in a row either. The cocking rope will cut the force in half. You will be okay then.

Stan, what Xbow did you get.I may have a rope cocker lying around. If I can find it you are more than welcome to it.I bought a new Horton Vision 175 and it takes a special 'cocking sled" Let me know if you can use the rope cocker.

I have the parker tornado.. 165# pull. If you are still to weak (which I would be entirely shocked unless you had some sort of medical condition or limitation in your shoulders and arms) don't even use your arms... Its not good for your back but just bend your knees and hunch over... than stand up.. I'm not sure if that makes sense but don't bother figuring it out. You will be able to pull it back.

I am 16 and run everyday and work out everyday... I can pull mine back 3 time's and each time is a barely.. And I can't feel my fingers after.

Hey Moss, let me know how you like it. My wife bought me one and it arrived today, just gotta get a cocking rope and I'm off to fine tune it and sight in the scope. I'm a little hesitant on trying to cock this thing without a rope....

Well the guy I'm talking about pulled back a 200 pound Exocet.35 extra pounds than yours.Oh and when you can't feel your fingers you are causing nerve damage.Something that at 16 may not be a big deal to you but later in life it will be.I'm living proof of things like that.

I can pull mine back at 175# but I always use the rope cocker. Like DPMS said your accuracy is better using a rope cocker or crank anyway. Also I don't think in a treestand or in a blind I could do it very easily. I know it is difficult sometimes with a rope cocker.

Moss I remember you were having back or shoulder problems? I don't think you want to be cocking it without an aid. You might as well go back to the recurve. You may want to look at getting the crank depending on how it feels once you get the rope cocker.

I have an Exocet 200 and can only pull it back once by hand. Also, the string cocker makes it easier to cock and keeps it centered every time.
