Anyone have any experience with this treestand? It is priced considerably lower than many other climber treestands and I was considering buying one. One concern of mine is that it is a bit heavier than a lot of the other climbers at approx. 27 lbs. If you have experience with this climber (good or bad) I'd appreciate your opinion.

I got and older Ameristep climber that weighs 27 lbs. I like to hunt a couple miles deep in the mountains, through some pretty rugged areas. Those two don't mix without a couple very important things....a very quality backpack, and a lot of sweat and cuss words...

My advice would be to spend the extra money for a lightweight climber....unless this is your only affordable option to get in the trees.

I had the Gorilla climber for a few years.I think the weight was about the same (27lbs).
Very comfortable and sturdy.Unfortunately I hunted till dark one eve. and went back in the dark in the morn.-stand was GONE.Nobody to blame but myself.
I would certainly buy another one.

I have a gorilla greyback that I have used for two years now. Have not had a single problem with mine, and I love it. When it wears out I'm going to go buy another one!
