I have an early G19. Hated it initially when I first tried my friend's back in '93 when we went to the range together one day and he said; "you gotta try this gun!". Still, I bought one shortly afterwards despite any preconceived misgivings I had over owning a "plastic gun" and I have grown to love my G19 over the last sixteen years. Despite a trigger pull you need to learn and understand, they are all surprisingly accurate. I think the G19/G23 is the best size/power format for a self-defense pistol.
I installed a connector and lighter spring from the now defunct Alchemy Arms. They were ahead of their time with Glock upgrades. They even had a pistol they developed that blended Glock and 1911 technologies
that failed. It can be found from time to time for sale, as a few made it to market.
