The rifle renge was wider with a 25 yard spot for kids and sighing in a new scope. Now there is only 50 and 100 yard spot. After they moved the pistol range they just blocked that section off. The range it self is not in bad shape but its smaller. GL 203 is over crowded as it is no need to make it smaller. Also making the shotgun range in the new pistol range leaves all the shotgun shotters out. My son is a up and comming hunter it is leaveing him with out a place to shoot. I thought the GL where for hunters not pistol shooters. I don't mind sharing I shoot pistol myself but there was no reason to make it smaller. It was better the way it was.

The back gate has been closed for years.
The explanation I was given that it was a private drive and they wanted the game commission to pay for the maintenance which would have set a precedence for other areas.
I am not completely happy with what they done to the ranges, especially eliminating the shotgun range.
It is better that they did separate the handguns from the rifles.
It took to long to get a clear to check your targets.
You also had to watch out for the people on the end with handguns.
Too many were there to play with their guns and didn't always practice safety.
