Any opinions on Gheenoe type boats, particularly the 13 and 15 foot boats?

Never had one of those, but I did own a Raddison "sportspal" trasom canoe 12' mod ( http://www.bwmarineproducts.com/transom_canoes.htm ) that is similar in design.
I liked it alot due to it's lite weight. It was easy for me to load/unload into the bed of my pick-up. Also the T/M lasted all day. A few downsides was load capacity 2 adults+gear gets you there quick.(when I used it for duck hunting I would tow my decoys in my jetsled)(not so much of a problem fishing). Also I didn't use it in areas of fast water + sharp rocks(I did use it on slower areas of the SusKy) due to it being made out of tin foil. With the T/M on the back it was good for the smaller T/M only lakes in the area. I gave it to my neice 15yrs ago and her son(8yrs) tells me of his adventures at their campsite along the Susky N of Harrisburg in my old boat ..

There is also it's American made cousin( http://www.meyersboat.com/#/sportspal/models/X-13 ) which is only 1 model and slightly different(heavier construction + weight)
