I have a 2001 Chevy Blazer and it has a trip odometer on it. Every time i fill up i mark down my miles and the amount of fuel i put in,which is always a fill up.
Here is what is strange to me!
I fill up here, where i live and drive 150 miles to my boys place, drive around there hunting for a few days. Before i leave,to come home, i fill up down there.I figure my mileage down there and then after running around here at home ,fill up again?
For some reason,i get 6 to 8 more miles per gallon with the gas from down there than i do with the fuel from here?????
Any ideas why this could be?

I had the same experience when going up to camp in Clinton County. I discovered that Clinton didn't have the same air pollution requirements thus did not have additives in their fuel such as MTBE which gave me better gas mileage coming home from camp..
