I never realized there was a forum for videographers on this site! My name is Bob Brill and I am part of a PA based film crew that started a show and was recently approved for airtime on The Sportsman Channel. Below I have linked our trailer if you would like to watch it.

If anyone has any questions regarding filming/editing/photography just feel free to PM me, or email me at [email protected]. Good luck this fall!

I found this yesterday and was excited to see a place to B.S. about filming. Congrats on the airtime, by your trailer looks like it's gonna be great to watch. I remember trading messages with you awhile back about a hunt. Hope you get the sponsers you need cause I'm looking forward to your show. When I get in a fuzzy video situation i'll take you up on the offer and shoot you a pm. Keep us updated about your show and best of luck with everything.

OMG I LOVE IT! You guys did an amazing job! I guess my only question would be what's your background like? When did you start filming and how did you learn the camera work and what lead you to the sportsmans channel? Congrats! I'm typing this as I sit behind a canon xa10 in Lancaster county actually! Awesome job!

Hempfield, sorry for the late response but its hunting season! Our background actually has nothing to do with filming. We began using the internet to learn about filming techniques and went from there.

As far as the sportsman channel, we just edited a pilot episode on our own and sent it into them. After about a month we got a phone call from them saying we were approved!

Hope that link works, did it on my phone. That is an intro I did last year. I've learned a lot since then and hopin to update that soon! Few other videos on there! Take a look when ya get a chance!

What cameras you using? And what did the sportsmans channel want from you? Certain amount of episodes?

Our main cameras for use in the tree is the sony ax2000. We also use the nikon d7000 and d3100 as well as the canon 7d. We use the DSLR's for most of the creative shots.

As per The Sportsman Channel, we must produce 13 episodes. The contract is over two quarters or six months where the 13 episodes will air the first 13 weeks, then 13 reruns after that.

Be sure to check out our facebook page as well. You can follow along with us and check out our photography too.
