dose anyone know if and how much it hurts the fur price if shot with shot gun . I know fur prices r down and i hate to waste good fur using shot gun . when i could use a 22mag and only put one hole in the hide.

Back when I was selling the rules was always, more holes less money.
Don't know how the rules go these days

Fox and coyotes are sold fur out...holes dont matter unless they are big enough to be visible then need sewn up...

Coon are sold skin out...you dont want more than a 22 hole in the head if possible...

I use a shotgun 80% of the time and have no issues.

If your using buckshot it might make dec holes, iv shot 3 coyotes last year with steel BB and it doesnt make any damage, infact tye only way to teol was after skinning them you can see the blood on the hide thats it. Bb shot works very well from the right gun, like my wingmaster mod choke.
