In the market for an inexpensive plinker .22 pistol.

I've got a good rifle and a Single Six for hunting with, just want .22 auto.

Don't want to spend a fortune on one.

A buddy of mine had a S&W that I liked. What else is out there?

Thanks in advance.

Hard to beat a Ruger semi, I have a .22/45 and really enjoy plinking with it.

Checked out several at the gun shop tonight.

Beretta Neos is OUT! Was not fond of the grip at all.
The Walther, Smith and Sig are out for the same reason.

I was fond of the Browning and the Ruger.

Got a little bit farther to go to have the $$ saved up for the gun.

You can pick up a nice Ruger Mark II with the bull barrel for less then 300.00
Loads of fun, dead accurate and almost maintenance free.
Good Luck

Ruger Mark II - 5.5" bull barrel and adjustable sights.
Great gun, super fun to shoot, accurate also.

I bought one years ago just to plink with and since that time at least 2 of my friends who shot it went out and basically bought the same for themself

I saw several in the fall at one of the Eagle Arms gun shows. Don’t know if they go out your way but I think they do go out towards Gettysburg.
The ones I saw were used, but not abused. Two had the box and instructions manual.
That is important since the first couple times you break it down getting the spring back right is a pain in the butt.
I am not even sure you could buy a new one from the shop anymore.

Good Luck

Someone mentioned about having jams with their .22 My brother had the same issue with his retta and narrowed it down to the gun not liking HP's. Now that he uses regular point rounds he has virtually zero jams
