I studied Soviet Political Systems as part of my undergrad degreee at the American University and graduated in 1982. I completely understand the changes that have led to the demise od Socialism in the former USSR. But as one who grew up with the "Red Mennice" and eventually worked for 10 years in one of then 3 Letter Agencies I find it remarkable that Pravda printed this. Oh, the days of Samizdat are long gone, that's for sure, but still this type of article knocks my babusha off.
