Heard this rooster crowing quite offten throughout the past several months, he showed up in the back yard this evening with his wife and 2 young uns
. Don't have an upper grade camera with good zoom capabilities to get those sharp pictures, be you can still see the group traveling together.

It's been a long time here too fordman99, use to be quite a common sight back in the 60's and early 70's. Currently there is quite a bit of surrounding farm land in some type of farm reserve program providing good nesting and escape cover. Sort of like back in the soil bank program years ago.

It looks like a rooster, hen and three youngins to me. Anybody else see five birds?

Yep, was about so say it, and read your post. From left to right, that second Green metal fencepost, directly at the bottom, there is a tough one to see. It actually looks like the Mom. The other three are fairly obvious.
