I'm looking for food grade plastic drums. Anyone have any or know where I can get them? I'm going to be using them to collect maple sap to make syurp. Thanks in advance.
dont know where you are located but in my uncles old barn there are some blue plastic drums about 4 or 5 that u are welcome to i just have to find out what my uncle used them for and if would be worth it to u to drive up and get them
yeah I would steer away from any drums that you dont know exactly where they came from. I used to get drums from my uncle who worked at hershey to use for wine making but have made heavy duty garbage cans out of them all by now since I've given up on the wine. If you know anyone who works at any type of food manufacturer they might have a lead for you that would be better suited for what you want/need
sorry didnt get back to you by now, went and checked and someone used them as target practice but i new they didnt come with herbecide in them i would of never answered your post,my uncle used them to make brimes,he was into smoking. sorry i couldnt help
We got ours that we use for the same purpose from a local water authority................they sadi rinse them out and they would be fine...........they had some type of very mild acid in them, that they use as an anti corrosive
check pickle plants they will give you them. one of my family members made a filter for there backyard pond out of a 50gallon plastic pickle drum. alot of guys take them to make docks . all you have to do is ask.
