That won't work this far north. Not saying they won't survive, but their benefit comes from being able to withstand warmer temps and not having the same "down time" as northern strain largemouth need. For the same reasons a northern strain won't thrive as well or get as big in the deep south. Florida strains out of Erie. I know there are largemouth in the main lake but I haven't heard of Floridas being caught out there. There is no such thing as a Florida strain smallmouth.
