can u hunt with flintlock pistols? and if so who carrys them?

Ok, Hunt what? The short answer is yes 40 cal and under for small game, 50 caliber and up for deer, 54 for elk, Any size flint pistol for coyotes and groundhogs. you can check the regs for the fine points.

There aren't but a few makers of guns that are legal Traditions and Pedersoli both have 50 cal flint offerrings

i used mine last season also carried my rifle its just fun to have along. mine is a traditions .50 cal trapper seems to be a good shooter. ill be carrying it again this season.

You can do it but those short barrels don't have much burn time.

Yep, thats why a larger caliber is better. Such as a 62.

How about a heavy conical to allow for more burn time and also hit harder?
